Role Summary


As the Editorial and Content Lead, your work influences how Cisco shares its purpose across global audiences. You will manage content strategy for the Social Impact and Inclusion Office (SIIO) and Cisco Crisis Response (CCR). You will guide content creation from idea to publication.
Your writing will appear in blogs, annual reports, executive messages, newsletters, and high-impact campaigns. You will also oversee editorial calendars, work with partners across teams, and support digital amplification efforts.

Your Impact


Content Strategy and Leadership

You will serve as the main editorial lead for the SIIO and CCR groups.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing a clear content strategy

Editorial Management

You will oversee ongoing editorial calendars for SIIO and CCR. This helps maintain a steady flow of quality content throughout the year.
Your tasks will include:

  • Planning publication schedules

  • Meeting with contributors
  • Ensuring timing aligns with key events or campaigns
  • Reviewing content before publishing

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Minimum Qualifications


You must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in content writing, editing, and content management
  • Strong background in corporate communications, journalism, or purpose-driven storytelling
  • Experience using content management systems
  • Proficiency in digital analytics tools
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with executives and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range for This Role


Below are the expected salary ranges for this position:

  • New York City Metro Area: $136,000 to $197,100 per year
  • Non-metro New York state and Washington state: $121,000 to $175,400 per year

Sales-based roles follow Cisco’s performance-based incentive structure. This role is not sales-based, so the fixed salary and bonus ranges above apply.
