This is a senior, individual-contributor role. You will guide production, manage your workflow, and work closely with creative and social teams. The goal is simple: create content that feels authentic, sharp, and aligned with Pearson’s purpose.

About the Role
The Advanced Specialist, Social Media Content Creator, owns the full content journey. You ideate, script, film, edit, and publish. You work both in front of the camera and behind it. You create short- and long-form content that performs well across LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
This role is hands-on and independent. You will set up your own camera, lighting, and audio. You will edit your own videos and design supporting assets. You will move quickly while keeping a strong creative standard.
A key part of this role is acting as a brand ambassador. You present Pearson’s insights and ideas with warmth, clarity, and confidence. You help audiences connect with the brand through simple explanations and strong storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Social-First Content Creation
You will manage the full lifecycle of each piece of content. Your work will include:
- Generating ideas and shaping them into simple scripts.
- Filming content in short and long formats.
- Editing videos with a consistent and polished style.
- Adding captions and ensuring accessibility.
- Designing supporting assets such as thumbnails and static visuals.
- Repurposing content across platforms based on audience needs.
The goal is to deliver high-quality social video that feels natural on every channel.
On-Camera Brand Ambassadorship
A major part of this job is being visible. You are the face and voice of Pearson on social. You will:
- Appear on camera with confidence and energy.
- Present ideas and research in a friendly, simple way.
- Build trust through presence and tone.
- Deliver content that reflects Pearson’s values and personality.
You help turn education insights into content that feels relatable and human.
Platform Knowledge and Trends
You will work with the pace of social platforms. You will:
- Create content that fits each platform’s format.
- Stay updated on trends, creator styles, and evolving features.
- Test new ideas and experiment with new formats.
- Review analytics and use insights to improve future content.
This helps the brand stay current and relevant.
Collaboration and Brand Alignment
Although the role is independent, you will collaborate with internal teams. You will:
- Work with the Brand Creative Studio and Social Media teams.
- Translate briefs and campaign goals into engaging social content.
- Partner with subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy.
- Keep content aligned with brand tone, values, and visual identity.
You ensure everything feels consistent with the brand while staying creative and modern.

Compensation
Pearson sets pay according to multiple factors such as skills, experience, and location. For states where salary disclosure is required, the full-time range for this role is:
USD 60,000 to 80,000 per year
