This foundational work will build a proprietary knowledge base for GEO strategy that will fuel our entire marketing engine.
What You Will Achieve: Key Responsibilities and Strategic Pillars
This position requires a unique blend of technical understanding, strategic planning, and hands-on execution. You will drive performance across multiple high-value digital channels.
1. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Strategy and Execution
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive Generative Engine Optimization strategy. Work closely with the SEO Lead and the Content Team. Your goal is to drastically improve Apilayer’s APIs’ visibility and ranking within LLM-driven searches and all major AI assistants.
- LLM Interpretation Analysis: Analyze precisely how various LLMs interpret and then recommend APIs. Identify the key semantic and structural factors that strongly influence their responses and ultimately, their ranking decisions.
- Prompt Engineering Expertise: Design and run extensive experiments using prompt engineering. Systematically test and measure how different generative engines surface and cite Apilayer APIs based on specific user queries.
- Niche Keyword Planning: Support advanced, niche-based prompt keyword planning specifically tailored for LLMs. This moves beyond basic keywords into complex, contextual developer intent.
2. Technical Content and Metadata Optimization
- API Documentation Optimization: Directly optimize API descriptions, technical documentation, and essential metadata. This includes standard files like OpenAPI specifications, rich knowledge base articles, and all website content. This optimization ensures maximum comprehension by the LLMs.
